- Engraving corresponding to Plate 18 ("Civilization") from the *Popular Illustrated Encyclopedia of Sciences and Arts* by Federico Gillman; the work was compiled based on the German *Iconographic Encyclopedia* and *Conversations-Lexikon*.
- The engraving displays various plans and depictions of houses—and parts of houses—from ancient times, such as the ancient royal house in Ithaca, restored houses in Moudja, etc.
- The title "CIVILIZACIÓN" appears in the upper margin, and "Lam. 18" (Plate 18) is printed in the upper right corner, identifying it as the 18th engraving in a series on civilizations.
